Please specify whether these eyelets are for 3 mm or 2 mm boards, thanks.
Asked by Anonymous on June 21st, 2018.
These mount in a 1/8" (3.175mm) hole.
The eyelets are 1/8 inch (.125") long and a 3mm board is .118" thick. A 2mm board is .079" thick. They should work with either but the 2mm board would be my choice.

Can these be used in a 1/8" thick board or are they for use in a 1/16? thick board??

The total length of the eyelet is just about 1/8" so my guess would be after it's installed and staked that there wouldn't be enough of a flange for a 1/8" board.

Are these hollow when installed with the recommended staking tool? That is, can I solder wires through both ends of the eyelet?

Yes, these will be through-hole eyelets.
Product Reviews
I was disappointed with the first batch of these I got and tried to use. I ordered the board that these fit but I did not buy the suggested tool, as I figured I could make one. Well these are very difficult to install and I damaged 3 out of 10. I was getting a bit frustrated and I hit on the idea that makes these things work and work great. I found a drill bit that is just a touch larger than the pre-dilled hole in the board. The eyelet fits in with no force needed and I use a small center punch on the back side to crimp it in place. After that idea came to me, these eyelets will be my choice for now on.
This is an excellent product that allowed me to make a custom Tweed Super wide panel eyelet board for a recent amp build. I purchased the eyelets and eyelet tool, as well. Using an 1/8" drill to make the holes, you just place the eyelet through the board and use the tool on a steel bed (my drill press bottom plate in my case) and lightly strike with a hammer. Great value and high quality. Highly recommended!
These roll up easily and firmly to provide a stable platform for soldering.
