This Marshall type foot switch would typically be used to switch between channels. Example: switch between clean and distortion.

It depends on the amp. For example, the Marshall JCM 200 DSL amps have a switchable reverb (on and off) as well as a switchable channel, with separate jacks for each function. This can be used in either jack.

I would like an indicator light on this, where would I add it to the circuit to show it is switched?

We offer this switch with an LED already installed. The SKU would be P-H470-LED.

If your amp calls for a latching SPDT footswitch then this will work.

I can confirm that this foot switch works perfectly with the Vox AC30HW to switch between Hot/Cool setting on the Top Boost channel.

It will work in any situation that calls for a latching SPDT. I would check the manual on your amp.

We do not have reference materials to confirm compatibility with this footswitch, but with the digital effects used in the MG30 being considered, this would likely not be compatible with that amp.

Based on a post on a guitar forum, I bought this for a Vox ac15HW1x to change between the hot/cold modes one the Top Boost Channel. It works! The official Vox one button footswitch was not available new or used at the time I was looking. Put the switch on the Vox amp in hot mode, and this footswitch pedal switches between the hot and cool modes.

Bought this footswitch for my Marshall Silver Jubilee Mini becuase it didn't come with it and the Marshall footswitch was $69. The was $11 and does the exact same thing. What a bargain. It's my second one i've bought.

I bought this switch for a reverb project based on the 6G15. The switch and box are well made but this switch will not work for the 6G15. The cable is not shielded and due to the design of the 6G15 (no fault of the switch) the switch acts as a noise antenna. The 6G15 grounds the grid of the tube on the reverb return thus requiring you to have one conductor of this switch connected directly to the signal path. Noise and mayhem ensues. Good construction though. I'll be replacing the cable or using this for another project I guess.

Built very sturdy , the one and two button version of this switch are my go-to foot switches for custom built amps , as well as replacements for older amps that don't require the LED's
