Pure Tone has developed a high quality ¼" two pole (mono) jack using a new patented design that improves upon and offers a more reliable connection than standard ¼" jacks. The Pure Tone design features two springs per pole that secure the plug into place and create a 100% greater surface area connection at all contact points to improve stability and signal integrity. These jacks also increase the current capability of ¼" connections.

Great Jack!!

Bought one to check it out, looked good from the description. Now I've got one on nearly everything I own. These with Neutrik plugs are the perfect combination.

These are pretty cool and a very nice product. They more than double the contact area for the signal to travel through, so they don't require cleaning as often. They also retain the patch cord's plug better so pulling the plugs out takes a little more effort. That can be a good or a bad thing. You could possibly damage a guitar if you step on the cord and accidentally try to rip it out, so loop the cord back through the strap and give yourself a safety loop with 18-24 inches of slack. The loop would be half that long so the length doubles. Right angle jacks also help. I come from a music store family so we have been repairing everything from saxophones to Stratocasters for 68 years on the Stratocasters and over 100 years for repairing saxophones. I think Switchcraft makes this type too. This may be a Switchcraft. They both cost about the same. The little brass parts are made in India for Switchcraft. They are just assembled in the USA now. India has a long tradition of making good brass products. It is what it is.

Really great jacks. Replaced the dual jacks in my 18 inch subwoofer box with these. Very solid contact, no electrical resistance that was measurable. Plan on using these in my equipment going forward.

I'm a fan of this jack. I bought into the advertising hype and installed it in one of my Les Paul's on a whim to try something new. I am now a kool-aid drinker for it, and bought two more for my other project guitar's. It keeps a solid hold on the cable, and is built well enough that I know it'll last for decades before wearing out. Does it transfer sound to the amp any better? I don't know, but it's a solid product, and I'm willing to remain loyal to it. No disappointments here.

I bought this Pure Tone jack for a rebuild of a bass guitar and I LOVE it!! It holds the 1/4" plug in the bass completely and I don't feel like it's going to fall out.
