In 1968 I saw a band that had a Fender Amplifier with a Purple amp Jewel. I could not believe it, since all Fenders had Red ones. It was so cool, I wanted one all my life. AES offers many colors! I bought a purple one and I am now the envy of my peers. FYI, The "violet" one they offer looks red when you turn it on (not good) but the purple is spot on! AES is fast and reasonable. Thank you!

I ordered the violet option for my amps. When backlit with the usual #47 bulb one does NOT get a violet color. It is more like a strange reddish color. When lighted with a white led it looks truly violet. I would suggest using an led replacement to obtain true color identity with any of the bluish/purple jewels.

The color saturation should be slightly darker as when illuminated with the lowest 6.3V bulb, white light white light shines through slightly. Not the same as the vintage style. Besides that very nice looking & quality.
