I used this in my "new to me" krank rev1 to give the pilot light a different color. The amp came with red so i switched it to a blue one from antique electronic supply. It has an eerie purple glow now. I'm satisfied! Great shipping service and delivered in a timely fashion

I got the purple, it appears indigo blue, if you shine a flashlight in it, its straight up BLUE. however very dim, low power light will color purple. the only drawback is that the indicator cannot be well illuminated if you want it to look purple, so if you like your indicator bright I think you would be disappointed

Have been looking for a good replacement without the $15.00 price tag for a fender jewel light. good selection of colors. I bought blue and purple. Thanks AES for supplying these at a great price.

I just want to say that I do not like to leave negative reviews... but I got the jewel in blue and honestly am not impressed. It is basically clear. The blue is not saturated enough to make the emitted light blue. Maybe its just an issue with the blue ones, but be warned, its basically clear.

While it looks dated from the mid 20th Century, it is a classic. You can pair it with the lamp socket which is easy to modify to take either a neon bulb - you can get neon bulbs in blue, green, yellow, white, almost any color to match the color of the lens you choose, or you can choose light emitting diodes to match.
