Threaded through dress nuts for use with mini toggle switches. Unlike the other versions of this dress nut, this nut is not capped allowing the nut to thread past the top of the switch’s bushing. The uncapped top can be useful where internal depth is an issue such as parallel PCB mounting. These plated dress nuts feature a chamfered edge for a professional look and work on any 1/4-40 UNS threaded bushing. Two sides are flatted for use with a tool when fastening.

I used this dress nut with some Carling switches (also purchased from this site). Gives the amp face a much more finished look than a plain ol' nut. It's a very nice part. The finish matches the finish on the Carling switches--they look like they were made for each other.

Adds a NICE finished look to any project or repair. Use "smooth jaw" sharp nose pliers, or a small angle wrench ignition wrench set to install and remove these or they can get damaged cosmetically. Small angle wrenches work the best, but those angle wrench sets cost between $130 and $5350USD.. The small sets are $150-$300 per set. The 5/64" up to 2" sets cost over $3000. A small set from 1/4 inch up to 9/16 inch x 32nd. Make sure you have 32nds between 5/32 & 11/32 in the SAE set and metric from 4mm to 14 mm should have 4.5mm, 5.5mm & 6.5mm sizes. These two sets are a perfect addition to the tool kit for the serious pro tech and builder. They grab onto the flats on these wonderfully made conical chrome dress nuts perfectly, without scratching, marring or denting them. Option 2 is pliers with SMOOTH jaws. Either Snap On duckbill pliers, or sharp (needle) nose pliers, Erem, Diamond, or others, with SMOOTH JAWS, ONLY. A tiny adjustable wrench is the last option, and that option is questionable.

These provide a subtle, but nice cosmetic upgrade or the switches on my guitar.
