Pedal Kit - Mod® Electronics, The Rattler Returns, Distortion
To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Mod® Electronics Mod® kits, we are re-releasing a new and improved version of the original Mod pedal - The Rattler. This fan favorite is making its long-awaited comeback as The Rattler Returns. The Rattler Returns offers the same over-the-top fuzz as the original Rattler and features several new upgrades. The circuit has been overhauled for a wider spectrum of fuzz that is steady when used with any pickups, pedals, or amps. The Rattler Returns preserves the diode clipping, a crucial component of the classic raw fuzz/distortion in the original but also features a diode lift switch. With the lift engaged, the pedal can hit volumes that easily drive any tube or pedal with fuzzed out guitar tones. The pedal now operates on +9V, so standard DC power supplies can be used in lieu of a battery if you choose.

Product Reviews
I guess it's ok, can't get the darn thing to work, but I'm still trying.
A great starter electronics kit and powerful fuzz! I've replaced a few knobs and made a few guitar cables, but this is definitely the first significant soldering project I've done. The directions are fantastic, especially when used together with the online photos. I would agree that this is a "2" on the difficulty scale - some small parts but still there was enough space to solder without any major mishap. And turned on, there is some serious grit and bushy fuzz with considerable volume boost. Looking forward to exploring the possibilities.
This kit was my first attempt at building anything electronic. It was fun and the directions were easy to read. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to start in kit building. BTW-It sounds awesome on my rig.
