Pre-drilled wedge shaped pedal enclosure by Mod® Electronics. The shape of this folded steel enclosure is inspired by the original FZ-1 and FZ-1A Fuzz Tone enclosures but the predilled layout is inspired by the Octavio and the early Carlsbro fuzz. This provides a classic pedal design with a layout that is more compatible with modern pedalboards than the original Fuzz Tone layout. The layout is intended for two pots, two jacks, and a footswitch so many fuzz varieties can be built in this enclosure. The wedge shaped fuzz enclosure features a hinged bottom cover for easy access to the battery. The four screws that attach the bottom are included.

Breadboard - Solderable PCB, 3.75” x 1.85”, Mounting Holes
Solderable PC BreadBoard enables you to transfer your circuit and wires from a plug-in breadboard without recutting wires or changing your layout. This breadboard has the same pattern as a standard 400 connection point solderless plug-in breadboard which has a standard 5-hole strip for each IC pin, just like solderless breadboards. However, it has the advantage that soldered joints provide a more reliable long-term connection than solderless contacts. The board has four power rails like solderless breadboards, plus two bonus rails for power or signals. There are bonus two-hole pads along the centerline allowing DIL (dual in-line) headers to be used as well as a top side silkscreen to position components. Four mounting holes allow your projects to be secured.

CMOS - CD4093, Quad 2-Input NAND Schmitt Triggers, 14-Pin DIP
CD4093B consists of four Schmitt-trigger circuits. Each circuit functions as a two-input NAND gate with Schmitt-trigger action on both inputs. The gate switches at different points for positive- and negative-going signals. The difference between the positive voltage (VP) and the negative voltage (VN) is defined as hysteresis voltage (VH). PCB - Vintage Style Circuit Board, Zonk II, Phenolic Board w/ mount
Zonk II style circuit board made with a phenolic substrate for an even closer match to the vintage production boards. Phenolic boards are found in many vintage electronics before the use of fiberglass became common. This board is a recreation of the circuit board found in the Zonk II pedal. The board is styled after the version that featured silicon transistors and a printed circuit rather than a stripboard construction. It is actually a cut down version of the Shatterbox PCB using only the fuzz side of that pedal. When drawing the layout, original boards were closely referenced to ensure a proper match and fit. The copper traces have a surface treatment providing protection from corrosion. This board includes a blank mounting PCB. This PCB sits directly beneath the main board to mount it directly to the enclosure using screws. CMOS - CD4017, CMOS Decade Counter, 16-Pin DIP
CD4017B is a 5-stage Johnson counter having 10 decoded outputs, respectively. Inputs include a CLOCK, a RESET, and a CLOCK INHIBIT signal. Schmitt trigger action in the CLOCK input circuit provides pulse shaping that allows unlimited clock input pulse rise and fall times. These counters are advanced one count at the positive clock signal transition if the CLOCK INHIBIT signal is low. Counter advancement via the clock line is inhibited when the CLOCK INHIBIT signal is high. A high RESET signal clears the counter to its zero count. Use of the Johnson counter configuration permits high-speed operation, 2-input decode-gating and spike-free decoded outputs. Anti-lock gating is provided, thus assuring proper counting sequence. The decoded output are normally low and go high only at their respective decoded time slot. Each decoded output remains high for one full clock cycle.

LM318 single op amp in an 8-pin DIP package. The LM318 is a precision, fast operational amplifier designed for applications requiring wide bandwidth and high slew rate. They feature a factor-of-ten increase in speed over general-purpose devices without sacrificing dc performance. These operational amplifiers have internal unity-gain frequency compensation. This considerably simplifies their application because no external components are necessary for operation. However, unlike most internally compensated amplifiers, external frequency compensation may be added for optimum performance. For inverting applications, feed-forward compensation boosts the slew rate to over 150 V/µs and almost double the bandwidth. Overcompensation can be used with the amplifier for greater stability when maximum bandwidth is not needed. Further, a single capacitor can be added to reduce the settling time for 0.1% error band to under 1 µs.

TL084 quad op amp in a 14-pin DIP package. These devices are low cost, high speed, dual JFET input operational amplifiers with an internally trimmed input offset voltage ( BI-FET II™ technology). They require low supply current yet maintain a large gain bandwidth product and fast slew rate. In addition, well matched high voltage JFET input devices provide very low input bias and offset currents. The TL082 is pin compatible with the standard LM1558 allowing designers to immediately upgrade the overall performance of existing LM1558 and most LM358 designs. These amplifiers may be used in applications such as high speed integrators, fast D/A converters, sample and hold circuits and many other circuits requiring low input offset voltage, low input bias current, high input impedance, high slew rate and wide bandwidth.
