Stable and reliable! Have used these in amps and guitars with great success. Prefer Alphas over CTS anyday :-)
Nice compact design. The resistance is written on the face which makes it easy to identify which one you want when you have a mixed batch. Wiper action is smooth. Access holes in case allow cleaner solution to be sprayed in if needed. Resistance across the entire range is very linear with no sudden jumps or spikes; oscilloscope shows a nice clean wave with no noise.
Perfect replacement, good quality and value. This saved a Heathkit oscilloscope from the trash heap! Great service. Thank you!!!
I always use the ALPHA pots !! Excellent !! Very precise values , and AES is the best supplier !!
These are my favorite pots for amp builds. They have a nicely damped, positive feel. Bourns pots have a very loose feeling to me and CTS pots are similar to Bourns. It's too bad you can't get these in all the flavors necessary for various builds or repairs.
