Potentiometer - PMT, V-Treb, Audio Treble Bleed, 3/8" shaft
Precision Music Technologies V-Treb – Variable Treble Bleed Bypass Circuit. Made in USA. The V-Treb variable treble bleed/bypass circuit corrects the problem of high frequency losses at reduced volumes by allowing the player to control how bright or warm the tone will get as the volume control is reduced. Pot: 24 mm body diameter, ¼” knurled split shaft. Bushing diameter = 3/8”, Bushing Length = 3/8”. PCB dimentions: 1.06” x 0.46” x 0.07”
Available in both coarse and fine knurl.

For a strat volume control, what is recommended, course or fine? I will be wiring this in, in a 50's wiring config, ie volume, prior to tone control, with the variant of neck/mid on tone 1 and bridge on tone 2.
Asked by Anonymous on November 8th, 2016.
It depends on what type of knob you are using. If you are using a regular strat knob, either of these will work. If you are using a Gibson style knob, you will have to determine if that knob is course or fine.

For a hss strat do you still need the tone caps installed along with the vtreb?
Asked by Anonymous on May 23rd, 2018.
If you want a tone control then you will want to wire one in. This simply retains the high end when you roll your volume knob down.
