Bought 7 470Ω 1W carbon comp. Tol is +-20% or +- 94Ω (376Ω to 564Ω). Highest value of seven resistors was 551.6Ω. Lowest value was 464.7Ω. The other 5 resistors measured around 500Ω - well within a 10% tolerance. Measured on a Fluke 189 True RMS.

Looks good to me.

Nope... I ordered four of these (470 ohm resistor), hoping to keep a stock look for the screen grid resistors in a Twin Reverb. Three of the four were at or beyond the high tolerance limit for a 20% part; a waste of money. I will not order these again, and will not be using these four. No reason to use a bad CC part when modern (non-CC) power resistors are so readily available, and are so much better quality.
