The Mod Electronics Reverb Tanks are high quality upgrade units. Some of the major differences between the Mod®s and other reverb tanks are that the Transducers are wired directly to their respective RCA jacks as opposed to current production tanks where Transducers are connected by a detachable plug to their respective RCA jacks. This makes the tanks less receptive to any outside interference. The original Hammond Accutronics tanks from the 1960s were also wired directly to their respective RCA jacks. In addition, very close attention has been paid to the spacing and size of the lamination of the Transducers resulting in a more vintage like tone.

The MOD tank was a nice improvement to my Blues Jr. amp. Only problem was that one of the leads to the RCA input jack was not attached. I had to solder the lead to the RCA input before I could install the unit. The leads are visible without any disassembly so perhaps a visual inspection before shipping the units to the customer is in order.

I needed to replace the factory stock reverb tank in my Fender Blues Jr III. The factory unit stopped working and I didn't feel like going through the hassle of getting warranty work done for such a small fix. So far, so good. The MOD reverb tank was economical, super easy to install, and sounds great!

This is a well made tank, it;s a really good replacement.
HOWEVER! the design of the springs set in a triangle design DOES have an effect on the sound. If you are using this in a fender Tube Amp, you will not get an exact FENDER Reverb sound. the dwell is not the same as you would expect. your reverb knob will just give you more of the same dwell rather than more or less dwell. its like the same level of dwell, just more of it. So I guess I will be keeping this tank but I will be ordering the accutronics and replacing since I really miss the Fender-esqe sounding reverb.

again its a good unit, anyone can look at the way its made and appreciate the solid construction..... but lacks the real fender sound I was looking for.

Replaced the stock tank in my late 90's Fenders Blues Jr. and it was a nice improvement. Much more usable range now.

I bought my Blues Jr III and had to bring it back the first day because the reverb did not work and they gave me a new one that the reverb quit after three years. Research of the issue I learned the stock reverb tank had solderless connections that cut the wires in the tank where as the MOD tank uses soldered connections that won't cut the wires. The tank fit perfectly and works very well and even though losing your reverb at a gig is not the worst thing that could happen it is nice to know that this problem is now fixed!

I purchased this reverb tank to replace a defective factory tank in a Fender Blues Jr. amp, this tank sounds great!

So far I have replaced the reverb tanks on 3 amps with MODs. The first was the Acutronics on my Fender Princeton Reissue because it broke. The MOD actually improved the sound. This tank was swapped on my Vox AC15C1. The Vox tank was a Belton. It was working, but sounded so bad I used Reverb very little. Because of the good reviews on MOD and my previous experience with the Princeton, I gave it a shot. The result was like night and day. The reverb now sounds great. If you have an AC15C1 and use reverb please change out the tank for a MOD. Very sweet.
