This type of tube socket is exactly what I needed for a project I am constructing using older sweep pentodes (17DQ6). They seem to be well made and will serve my purpose. I plan to buy more.
It's a good idea to close the prongs with a sharp instrument all the way as I did have a failed contact, other than that, I'll keep buying these. Top mount w/ a 1 inch hole needed. Look very nice!
Fits perfectly for Fender BF and SF. If your amp is old enough to overhauling and it has tube rectifier, replacing rectifier's socket is mandatory in order to prevent potential arch between pins. ceramic base increase reliability.
Excellent quality. Required slightly larger hole than socket it was replacing and couldn't be mounted from below chassis, but hole size was fine for mounting on top of chassis. Worked fine for my application.

Fits perfectly in fender silver faced amps. Pins are not as sturdy as the originals, but adequate. Worked fine for me.
