The Mod 10-50 is a 10" ferrite speaker with 50 watts of power. Warm, straightforward tone and tight bass frequencies. When presented with overdrive distortion, it exhibits a colorful fuzz edge.
The MOD® Speakers lineup is a collaborative effort with MOD® Electronics that provides musicians with a classic sounding speaker voicing that doesn't shy away from new technologies and modern advancements. Unbound from the restraints of producing an authentic reissue, Jensen® and MOD® have developed a new series of speakers that carefully blends the clarity of the vintage Americans with the forward, driving tone of their vintage British counterparts. These are really nice sounding speakers. I used them to restore a Fender Bassman 10 to original specs and they didn't dissapoint. The are well made. They are also one of the very few speakers made in 32 ohm specification
These speakers sound very good in a 5F1 champ. Very easy on the pocketbook. Great product!
I bought 6 of these on sale to install in my Traynor YC-610 modeled bass cabinet. It is everything I remember of my original cab. Can handle all of the lows under 75 watts. They also have a great punch that defines every note from low to high. I very much recommend these for you 6x10 or 8x10 cabs. You won’t be disappointed.
biasing adjustments are needed for the valves (6v6S) yet , but the speaker is perfect. Sounds great with the Fender 15 watt Super Champ X2 Head I am employing the speaker to. The Jensen MOD series really helps Fender amps no matter what models you have . Has a low end thump but it isn't that bad after adjusting the bass control. I need to adjust the biasing so I can get the most out of the speaker . It breaks up in a classic Tyler you would expect with a Jensen , fender match up the sound is beautiful so that it articulates the instrument. Helps with sustain, and the sustain goes on for a long period. If you want a great sounding speaker at a great price the Mod series gives you that, especially in Fender amps I can't say how much I really love them , this is my second Mod speaker purchase and I have not been let down by them yet.
