25 watt rms o peak power?
Asked by Anonymous on August 27th, 2015.
Rated power 25 watts. Musical power 50 watts. See the specification sheet for more information
Specification sheet missing basic operating parameters. Peak power is the max power handling capability (in watts) at any instant of time. RMS (root mean square)max power handling capability (in watts) is the amount of continuous power. Since this is not identified, the "25 watt" power rating statement means nothing at all and does not identify the speakers power rating.

Can i use this to repair an ampeg BA108?
Asked by Anonymous on August 27th, 2015.
The Jensen C8R is not a bass speaker and the results, if used for bass, would not be suitable.

Any 8" instrument speaker should work provided that the ohm rating is correct and the amp cabinet has sufficient room for the depth of the speaker.

What should be the size for the cut-out?
I plan to mount the front of the speaker to the back of the baffle -- that is, the entire speaker will be inside the cabinet, like original Champ amps, with the 8-32, #12 Reverse Thread, Speaker Baffle Mount screws pointing inside the cabinet.
Asked by SLord on November 24th, 2021.
The technical drawing gives the diameter of the cone itself, which is 178.5mm or 7.02".

Product Reviews
I received my order in a timely manner, packing was good, the speakers are with my amp tech being installed, at this time, so I can’t say how they sound , I believe it’s going to be killer!
I was a little hesitant that this speaker would work for my unique application. I'm not using it for a guitar amp but as a replacement speaker for a 1948 AM/FM/Phono radio that the original 10" speaker was missing. It turns out this speaker works great. I went with the 8" version instead of a bigger one to get a greater frequency range and am glad I did.
This thing rocks even though the tube amp is only putting out 5w.
Sounded great in a 1973 Bronco I installed it in. 4 ohm version.
I used two of these speakers (8 ohm in parallel) in a clone of the Magnatone Melodier 109 that I built. They turned out to be a perfect match for the self-split push-pull circuit. They have a rich sound when played clean, and they handle the output-tube distortion that the amp produces beautifully. Absolutely perfect for blues. And the price is right! My go-to 8" speaker.
