CD4029B consists of a four-stage binary or BCD-decade up/down counter with provisions for look-ahead carry in both counting modes. The inputs consist of a single CLOCK, CARRY-IN\ (CLOCK ENABLE\), BINARY/DECADE, UP/DOWN, PRESET ENABLE, and four individual JAN signals, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and a CARRY OUT\ signal are provided as outputs. A high PRESET ENABLE signal allows information on the JAM INPUTS to preset the counter to any state asynchronously with the clock. A low on each JAM line, when the PRESET-ENABLE signal is high, resets the counter to its zero count. The counter is advanced one count at the positive transition of the clock when the CARRY-IN\ and PRESET ENABLE signals are low. Advancement is inhibited when the CARRY-IN\ or PRESET ENABLE signals are high. The CARRY-OUT\ signal is normally high and goes low when the counter reaches its maximum count in the UP mode or the minimum count in the DOWN mode provided the CARRY-IN\ signal is low.

The LM13700 series consists of two current controlled transconductance amplifiers, each with differential inputs and a push-pull output. The two amplifiers share common supplies but otherwise operate independently. Linearizing diodes are provided at the inputs to reduce distortion and allow higher input levels. The result is a 10-dB signal-to-noise improvement referenced to 0.5 percent THD. High impedance buffers are provided which are especially designed to complement the dynamic range of the amplifiers. The output buffers of the LM13700 differ from those of the LM13600 in that their input bias currents (and thus their output DC levels) are independent of IABC.

The BC182 is a general purpose NPN transistor in a TO-92 case. The BC182 is commonly used in fuzz pedals and has a reputation as a warm sounding silicon transistor for fuzz. The BC182 has a more narrow hFE range than the BC183 which can be helpful for certain builds.

The AS3372E is Alfa’s take on the CEM3372 µP Controllable Signal Processor in a DIP-24 package. The AS3372E features an additional two VCA’s so an adapter board is required when using as a replacement for the CEM version. The CEM version was used in multiple classic synths, including the Oberheim Matrix 12, Oberheim Xpander, Sequential Prophet T8, Sequential Prophet 600, Akai AX80, Rhodes Chroma Polaris, and more.

L78L33 3.3V regulator in a TO-92 package. The L78L33 three-terminal 3.3V positive regulator employs internal current limiting and thermal shutdown, making them essentially indestructible. If adequate heat-sink is provided, they can deliver up to 100 mA output current. They are intended as fixed voltage regulators in a wide range of applications including local or oncard regulation for elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation. In addition, they can be used with power pass elements to make high-current voltage regulators. The SB400 Solderable PCB BreadBoard enables you to transfer your circuit and wires from a plug-in breadboard without recutting wires or changing your layout. The SB400 has the same pattern and spacing as a standard 400 connection point BB400 solderless plug-in breadboard. It has a standard 5-hole strip for each IC pin, just like solderless breadboards plus 4 power rails. However, it has the advantage that soldered joints provide a more reliable long-term connection than solderless contacts. The 2N3566 is a silicon NPN transistor in a TO-105 case. The 2N3566 is primarily intended for general purpose amplifier applications.

IC component sockets for dual in-line package chips (DIP, PDIP, DIL, DIPP.) These sockets feature ladder style cases with tinned stamped and formed connections.

This small PCB is a simple way to add an indicator light that pulses to the rate of LFOs and clocks used in pedals, synthesizers, and other equipment. Simply connect the positive supply voltage to V+, ground to GND, and the output of a positive signal (0 to V+) such as an LFO or clock to the IN pad. The trimmer can adjust how the LED reacts to the signal. Fully clockwise it will simply pulse on and off when paired with a strong signal. If the signal is a sine, triangle, or any other non-pulse type signal, adjusting the trimmer counter clockwise can dial in settings that follow the shape of the waveform, brightening and dimming with the changing voltage. For certain dual op-amp LFOs in effect pedals, the signal may not go low enough to turn the LED fully off.

CD4094B is an 8-stage serial shift register having a storage latch associated with each stage for strobing data from the serial input to parallel buffered 3-state outputs. The parallel outputs may be connected directly to common bus lines. Data is shifted on positive clock transitions. The data in each shift register stage is transferred to the storage register when the STROBE input is high. Data in the storage register appears at the outputs whenever the OUTPUT-ENABLE signal is high. Two serial outputs are available for cascading a number of CD4094B devices. Data is available at the QS serial output terminal on positive clock edges to allow for high-speed operation in cascaded systems in which the clock rise time is fast.
