I bought this tuner as a replaceme3nt for a broken tuner on my Fender Squire Stratocaster. It fit in the hole in the headstock like it was made for it. The bonus is that it has a screw to keep it from turning in the hole instead of the cart on pin that the Squire tuners have. That pin had broken off the body of the tuner allowing the tuner to turn in the hole. The pin is still in the hole in the wood, so I can't use another Squire tuner unless I drill out the pin, which could damage the wood in the process. This new tuner solves those problems.
