Machine heads without a sealed gear are criticized for not having the same smooth performance, efficiency and durability that sealed gear tuners have. The SD series solves these problems by combining "Rock-solid" technology and the post collar or: "Self-Center Guide", found on enclosed gears in the base plate of the gear allowing the post to perfectly align itself with the bushing which attaches the gear to the headstock. The SD series uses a torque balancer to ensure steady rotation of the tuner button giving high quality sound performance as well as great functionality.

High quality vintage-style locking tuners from Gotoh.

High quality SD91 tuners from Gotoh with brass posts and internal washers. Brass posts were used by Gibson® until 1975 and by Fender® until 1966. Unlike the common steel components, brass string posts and internal washers improve vibration transmission, resulting in a sound that is similar to the original vintage tuning machines. This 6-in-line oval button tuner set includes all bushings and mounting screws.

Finding the right aftermarket tuners that match up with your guitar's mounting hole pattern can be a guessing game and if your new tuners don't match, you're stuck drilling new holes, filling the old holes and screwing in the new tuners. That's why Hipshot made the UMP™ (Universal Mount Plate). The UMP™ is a patent pending adapter plate that fits between your Hipshot tuners and the headstock of your guitar. Tabs on the face of the plate prevent the tuners from slipping against the headstock. At the same time, reach nuts inserted through the existing headstock holes into the tuners keep the whole assembly securely in place.

The Kluson® Revolution G-Mount 19:1 high ratio tuning machines offer the traditional Kluson® footprint and a newly designed sealed die-cast, one-piece housing. High gear ratio guarantees silky smooth operation, fine tuning stability with no backlash. These state of the art tuning machines are designed to directly retrofit die-cast tuning machines that have a hex head (collared) bushing and a traditional Kluson® two-screw mounting pattern. Uses the common modern 25/64 in. (10mm) peghole. The G-Mount pattern makes these a great drop-in replacement for the modern “Gibson® Deluxe” collared tuning machines found on many models. No modification or unused holes!

These state of the art diecast tuners are designed for usage on contemporary guitars and utilize the same mounting hole common to Grover 305 series medium tuners as well as the common Gotoh tuner with the mounting screw located offset at approximately 7 O'clock or 5 O'clock depending on left or right handed application. This Kluson® 6-in-line tuning machine set has oval metal (butter bean-shaped) buttons and the improved 15:1 gear ratio for more stable and accurate tuning. The PRL-8341 are a right-handed set of Locking RATIO® Calibrated Machine Heads for electric guitars that use 3 x 3 tuners, such as Gibson style and PRS style guitars. A great upgrade over single gear machine heads, such as Grover, Schaller, Sperzel, Kluson, etc. This set has keystone style knobs. The tuners have a two pin casing that can be used as is, or with Graphtech’s Patented InvisoMatch Mounting Plates. 4 different sets of InvisoMatch mounting plates in brushed aluminum are included to make installation on most guitars fast and accurate by using your existing screw mounting holes.
