Worm and gear are cut to mesh perfectly, thereby eliminating backlash and slippage. The housings are self-lubricating for a lifetime of trouble-free service.

Distinctive in styling and quality, the Imperial made it's first appearance in the 1970s. The most notable feature of this unique machine head is the futuristic Three Step button, a fresh and funky design trademarked by Grover. This re-introduction of the Imperial is an exact reproduction of the originals, including a 16:1 gear ratio.

'Grover Deluxe' on tuners. 14:1 gear ratio This vintage machine uses a die-cast, two-piece housing for additional strength and precision. The unique bearing surface in the housing provides a rigid string post enhancing the alignment of the gear and worm. The 14:1 gear ratio provides for fine tuning.

The Grover® 138 Series deluxe machine heads are mounted three to a plate for the vintage look that has been popular for decades. The stamped back plate provides a sturdy base for mounting vertically or horizontally on the head stock. The housings are securely fastened to the base insuring proper gear and worm alignment for accurate tuning. Bushings and screws included.

This Kluson® 6-in-line tuning machine set has oval metal (butter bean-shaped) buttons and the improved 15:1 gear ratio for more stable and accurate tuning. The housing and button style are period correct for 1965 - 1969 production dates. These feature the Kluson® Safety Post. This set comes complete with 6 bass side tuners, 8.8mm O.D. vintage bushings with 1/4 inch inner diameter and mounting screws needed for installation.
