Tuning Machines

The PRL-8721 are a right-handed set of Locking RATIO® Calibrated Machine Heads for electric guitars that use 6-in-line tuners. This set has mini Schaller-style knobs. The tuners have a two pin casing that can be used as is, or with our Patented InvisoMatch Mounting Plates. 4 different sets of InvisoMatch mounting plates in brushed aluminum are included to make installation on most guitars fast and accurate by using your existing screw mounting holes. RATIO® is Graphtech’s patented gear technology. RATIO® Calibrated Machine Heads incorporate different string gauges into the tuning equation.

Graphtech balanced the gear ratios to each string simplifying the tuning process. With RATIO®, a half turn is a semitone. Every string reacts the same to any tuning adjustment.

The Grover® 138 Series deluxe machine heads are mounted three to a plate for the vintage look that has been popular for decades. The stamped back plate provides a sturdy base for mounting vertically or horizontally on the head stock. The housings are securely fastened to the base insuring proper gear and worm alignment for accurate tuning. Bushings and screws included.

The Mid-Size series is made with the same quality as the other Rotomatic® models. Slightly larger than the Mini Rotomatics®, the mid size series features an 18:1 gear ratio for smoother, more precise tuning. This compact machine head is perfect for use on smaller and in-line headpieces.

These Gotoh® Vintage Style locking tuners are a retrofit design to a vintage-sized peghole that maintains that classic look with no drilling or modification to your headstock. These are 3 per side individual tuners (not on a plate) just like the originals but with the Gotoh Magnum Lock system built into the string post. This set comes complete with 3 per side tuners. 3 per side. The Kluson Contemporary Series 19:1 ratio locking tuning machine uses the more desirable rear knob locking system and is designed for usage on contemporary guitars. This design requires an individual mounting hole location offset at approximately 7 O'clock or 4 O'clock depending on left or right handed application (bass or treble side). Uses the common modern 25/64 in. (10mm) peghole with a hex head type screw-in bushing and single mounting screw. This is a 3 + 3 set of tuning machines with all mounting hardware included.

The newest addition to the Grover family, these locking machine heads utilize the famous 18:1 Rotomatic® design with a “thumb screw” mechanism which locks the string into place. Insert the string through the post hole, wrap around once, then lock by tightening with the thumb screw. Perfect replacement for the most standard machine heads. Includes all mounting hardware.
