What is the hole size required?
Asked by Anonymous on September 26th, 2016.
The hole size required is 0.102" or 2.6mm.
A number 38 drill bit will be just a tad snug. A Number 37 bit will be about .005" loose. Pick one. If your chuck has any runout (wobble) at all use the number 38 drill bit. If it's still too loose drop to a 39.

What diameter hole should you drill for these turrets?

Asked by Anonymous on November 20th, 2016.
Hello, these turrets are 2.6mm or 0.102" at the base. 2.5mm might be a good place to start as you do not want these turrets to be too loose and falling out!
Product Reviews
Great turrets! The plated ones make for easy soldering and the fit was nice.
These turrets fit the 2mm G-10 blank board perfectly. Drilled the holes with a #38 drill bit for a nice snug fit which made staking them a breeze.
Well... it's a turret, not sure what more I can say.
Ive used a lot of these. I just built an 18 Marshall replica and even though I picked my Own speakers transformers and small parts I got the chassis and cabinet as a kit -the board was cheap Chinese make and so were the turrets...make your own boards and use good turrets and eyelets
I found that when these are used with the proper staking tool the turret fastens very nicely to the board. Very solder-able as well! I will definitely use these in the future.
Use these for all my builds, great stuff.
These turrets work great with the turret boards. You will need the turret stake. I use a small socket to hold the turrets in place while I either press them in with my drill press or hammer them in.
I've built three amplifiers using this product, and have had excellent results. It solders easily and once staked to the board is very stable and strong. Highly recommend this product.
Nice quality board for making ab763 turret boards.
Always need more of these...just when I think I've got enough, I always run out! Always buy more, guys! Your prices on these are exellent too, you beat Mouser.
