According to our Tube Substitution Handbook, the 12DW7 is a substitute for the 7247.

This tube was perfect in a Blues Junior cathode follower modification...very nice clear tone, non-microphonic, and worked exactly as planned. Would buy this tube again in a heartbeat...

I bought this as part of a re-tube for a Hot Rod Deluxe, and used it in V2 of the amp. Purchased with it were a 12AT7 (V1), a 12AX7 (V3-Phase invertor), and two matched 6L6GC's. All were JJ tubes. Prior to this re-tube, I had three 12AX7's in the amp. All I can say is WOW! Excellent tone, and volume control that is now manageable. I'm very pleased with the way this tube works in the HRDX. Definitely recommend it.

Also very pleased with Antique Electronic Supply. Easy to order. Quick shippers. I'm a longtime customer and will continue to do business with them.
