The 15EA7 is a dissimilar double-triode designed for use as a combined vertical deflection oscillator and amplifier in television receiver.s Section one, a high-mu triode, is intended for service as an oscillator. Section two, a low-mu, high perveance triode, is intended for service as an amplifier. Except for heater ratings and heater warm-up time, the 15EA7 is identical to the 5EA7.
