Vacuum Tube - 6CA7, JJ Electronics
The JJ Electronic 6CA7 is a true to form reproduction of a classic tube that will work in most EL34 amps. The 6CA7 is often considered the American cousin to the British EL34. Sonically, this tube is closer to a 6L6 than an EL34 but without the sometimes harsh high end of the 6L6. The JJ 6CA7 offers warm highs with punchy articulate mids and tight lows. Wielding even more power than a KT77, this tube is a great choice for people looking for a change in their EL34 amp’s tone or want to push their levels that much further.

Product Reviews
Just installed a matched quad in a music man HD130. I was previously running JJ EL34s that were installed years ago. Before JJ offered this tube or E34L for that matter. The amp definitely sounds much closer to what it did with original Sylvania 6CA7's but with slightly more midrange. Overall I'm very happy with these tubes. Hopefully they'll last as long as the previous tubes.
Put a set of these in a mid 80's Seymour Duncan Convertible head I had restored several weeks back and am very happy with the sound and performance of them so far. Tubes are hard to quantify without trying several brands in the same amp. I am compairing them to an original set of Yugoslavian 6CA7's that came from a combo version of the same amp, which I used in this one to get the head back up and running. For the money, I am impressed as tube prices are getting a bit out of hand these days. In my experience the Yugo tubes made back then were of a very high quality and these JJ's sound almost identical. They do have a bigger bottle on them which in my opinion looks way cooler so, I am very happy with them.
Shipped quickly and came in great condition. They also sound awesome!
These tubes work well in my Music Man HD130. No issues with bias or temperature. Very quiet at idle. No microphonics either.
The 4 6CA7JJ-matched* now work in my AOIN stereo Class-A amplifier. Each tube has bias adjustment for even a better match. The *tubes are transparent and clear across the audio spectrum.
The original order of"]2-matched pair of 6CA7-JJ. Both were defective with high grid and heater leakage. They both immediately began secondary-emissions similar to a flashlight brightness. I made very-quick tub-tester and voltage checks in and out of circuit to determine fat. Then called: tubesandmore.com for a replacement-matched pair.
The new replacements are very stable, with all-electrodes "dark" running properly (except the cathode normally-orange in color and heat.) THE SOUND is crisp/clear and now up-to full volume(!!) Wonderful. I ran the old Canadian-Made Bass-amp for a few hours-test--very stable and calm. The "Made in Germany" filter-capacitors(4) are extremely cool-running and has made the old-amp extremely quiet while idling w/o music.
Switched my Sovtek bassov blues boy from the JJ 6l6's over to these(amp was modded for correct bias and heaters) and couldn't be more happy as in i'm never going back i can best describe these as very full range when compared to the 6l6 more mids equal to or better lows and the highs are crisp and chime like.
i play bass thru this amp and i don't play clean think sabbath/hendrix overdriven bass hope this helps out someone. and thanks to tubes and more/antique electric for offering such a great tube.
