The JJ Electronic 6V6S is another modern classic from JJ. This 6V6 has the standard rugged construction we’ve come to expect from JJ which allows it handle much higher plate voltages than the typical 6V6 tube. The JJ 6V6 can even be used in place of a 6L6 in some amplifiers. Overall this tube has a warm and balanced tone with incredible separation and response. The highs come in clean and smooth with a lot of clarity. The mids are full and distinctive. The lows are fat and punchy. These tubes can cover a spectrum of sounds and styles all within the same amplifier.

5/5 The JJ 6V6 power tubes are stout and sound great in my Fender '57 Deluxe Reissue. I've used JJ tubes for many years in other amps and they always work good and last long.

Replaced old RCA tubes in a Fender Princeton reverb with a matched set of these. Replaced the screen grid resistors with new ones that were also matched in resistance (measured and hand selected). Fixed bias is now perfect and amp sounds wonderful.

AES always provides good JJ tubes for the right price. I have bought many of them over the years. These went into a 1963 Princeton (non reverb) tuxedo cosmetics that my customer found in a barn. The amp sounded wonderful whenI finished cleaning and doing a few minor repairs. Just what this amp needed.

I recently purchased power tubes for my Fender 65 Princeton Tweed and my 68 Custom Princeton Reverb as backups. I used both amps extensively. I contacted Antique Electronic Supply (AKA: TubesandMore) as to the proper tubes I needed. I received a quick response just as I have in past contact (via email) with the folks at AES. They are super customer service oriented and helpful. I TRUST ALL MY TUBES and SUPPLY needs to AES, knowing that their experts in the field and that I will get what I need right the first time. Please I receive my purchases quickly and well prepared for shipping. Thank you!

The tubes I received are rated at 27. The Jim Kelley amp I put them in needs a higher value to bias properly. So, pretty disappointed.

Purchase JJ GZ34 Rectifier and two JJ 6v6S tubes to go in my 64 vintage Deluxe Reverb. I have vintage Raytheon 6v6 and GE GZ34 to compare them against. Out of the box they sound very good, not quite as loud as the Raytheons. JJ has a nice bell like sound, good chime, and good response. With about 6-8 hours on them total, I noticed this evening a rattle in the amp, a paperish rattle. I narrowed it down to one 6v6. The amp would ring/oscillate notes - just not good. I powered off and one several times and let it warm up again. The amp suddenly 'popped' and the sound went back to normal. They are not bad for the money. Not as punchy as vintage 6v6 tubes, and a different sound altogether, a more mid range scooped sound. I will see how they hold up long term. Biasing them cold and hot can get a good range of saturation and tone. They have a nice blue glow that bounces nicely when you play, and lets you 'sort of' know if your amp has a balanced inverter circuit. I will test them on my Knight tester to see how each compares. Overall, a good sounding set of tubes.

I hope JJ keeps making good quality tubes like they use to in the old days.

"Matched" quad sound absolutely terrible in my vintage Jim Kelley 30/60 Combo. Defective tubes from the gate. Pronounced tube rattle and buzzing in all combinations of placement. Left a message on AES online contact page and received no help or response. Will stick with new Tung-Sols for now and will not do business with AES in the future.
