Bought a pair of these to run in my ampeg vt22 head used for bass guitar.
Running two tubes at into 2 ohm load
I chose them intitially because of the narrow base to fit the 6l6 bear trap retainers.
Well I was disappointed in the ampeg
,Too linear and "polite" put the tung-sol 6l6gc str back in.
BUT ,decided to try them in my Sunn 100s clone ran in ultralinear.
Biased at 50ma. That amp has always been too boomy.
These kt90s are Perfect for this circuit! Very rich, and articulate through entire range.
Very happy with them.
