Vacuum Tubes

The first electronic amplification of sound was done with Vacuum Tubes. We have pre-amp, power and rectifier vacuum tubes among other types in New Old Stock from the golden era of American & European manufacturing as well as current production tubes from today.
Vacuum Tube - 5881 / 6L6WGC, Sovtek
The 5881 is a very reliable tube that is widely used in many current production tube amplifiers. It has a warm tone with good 'bite.' This modern version is able to tolerate higher voltages than its 5881 / 6L6 cousins. The Sovtek 5881 delivers a warm, round tone that "sweetens" any vintage or modern guitar amp design. Built to rigid military standards, the 5881 will tolerate higher voltages than any other 6L6. In fact, they're frequently used as replacements for the old 7027 model in vintage Ampegs. Extremely consistent from piece to piece.

Vacuum Tube - 5881, Tung-Sol Reissue
Russian made reissue of the original Tungsol.
The 5881 is the electrical equivalent to types 6L6 and 6L6G except that the plate and screen dissipation ratings have been increased approximately 20 percent. It embodies a complete mechanical redesign which results in greater resistance to shock and vibration.
Starting at $23.65
Vacuum Tube - 6550, Tung-Sol Reissue
Copy of the original type 3 Tung-Sol 6550 made in the 1960s. Triple getter, carbonized screen, and gold plated grid. The current production benchmark of the classic 6550.
Made in Saratov, Russia
Starting at $45.95
Vacuum Tube - 6L6WXT+, Sovtek
Higher in gain than the 5881WXT, with full base.
Sovtek is proud to announce the release of their new 6L6WXT+ vacuum tube. Modelled after the vintage RCA 6L6GC "blackplate," the Sovtek 6L6WXT+ features larger plate dimensions and improved grid structure for increased power handling capabilities. The 6L6WXT+ also features mica spacers with metal springs to eliminate tube rattle and microphonics. The Sovtek 6L6WXT+ yields a 20% higher output than the Sovtek 5881WXT and offers superior tone and overall performance to any 6L6 or KT66.
Starting at $24.95
Vacuum Tube - KT77, JJ Electronics
A reproduction of the original tubes that captures the sound that made the KT77 famous. In their typical fashion, JJ has built this tube in a solid construction that is robust and highly reliable. This tube has more headroom than a typical EL34. This is an excellent tube for adding more power to the sound of an EL34 amp.
Starting at $19.95
Vacuum Tube - 6550WE, Sovtek
The Sovtek 6550WE was designed to be the finest 6550 ever produced. Thicker plates, improved heat dissipation, higher transconductance, and increased linearity are just some of the inherent aspects of the new Sovtek super 6550s. The resulting performance advantages include 5% higher output power, increased reliability, greater headroom, and superior tone. The 6550WE features a metal-ringed base for increased power-handling capabilities.
Starting at $39.95
Vacuum Tube - 7027A, JJ Electronics
The JJ Electronic 7027A offers the same reliability and tone as the JJ 6L6GC but with the correct pinout for vintage amplifiers that use 7027 tubes like older Ampegs. At 30W, this tube delivers plenty of headroom. The highs are clear and responsive with warm mids and tight solid lows. Known for their reliability and articulation, the JJ 7027A is a great option guitar amplifiers and Hi-Fi stereo equipment.
Starting at $21.95
Vacuum Tube - EL844, JJ Electronics
The JJ Electronic EL844 is a variation on the classic tube which reduces the overall headroom by 25%. With the reduced power, hitting that rich distortion that the EL84 is notorious for is more manageable. This tube will hit full saturated power tube sounds without having to crank the amps volume as high which makes them a great choice for recording as well as home / bedroom use.
Starting at $12.50
Vacuum Tube - E34L, JJ Electronics, Blue Glass
Blue glass envelope. The JJ Electronic E34L adds more power to a standard EL34 due to its higher grid voltage rating. This increase gives the tube more headroom and a tighter response on the low end. The wide frequency response of this tube offers excellent harmonics that work in a variety of genres ranging from the cleanest cleans to rich and aggressive breakup.
Starting at $19.95
Vacuum Tube - 6CA7, Electro-Harmonix
Electro-Harmonix 6CA7 Vacuum Tube Big bottle beam-tetrode version of EL34. Perfect EL34 replacement for Musicman amplifiers.
Starting at $24.85
Vacuum Tube - KT66, JJ Electronics
A sonically faithful reproduction of the original tubes with a robust construction encased in a thick glass envelope. The JJ KT66 delivers a powerful 25 Watts with plenty of headroom. This tube has a tone that is warm, thick, and straightforward. With a more balanced sound than the 6L6GC, the JJ KT66 is an excellent choice for a full bodied tone.
