Finally - a PVC coated solid core wire that's great for tube amp projects - the insulation strips easily and clean and resists the heat from soldering very well - the solid core makes "lead dress" easy and it stays put. Highly recommended.

Excellent variety pack. Just what I needed. The colors are fairly desaturated/mellow, and look great in vintage equipment. Strips and solders with ease.

I bought this solid core wire to use on the solderless breadboard block. Works perfectly. Once again AES displayed their efficiency with quality stuff and great customer service. That’s why I keep using them as my go to source of parts.

I often use #18 or #20 wire, but there are times—particularly when dealing with miniature tube sockets—when #22 wire is more appropriate. Why solid core? In tight spaces, such as tube pin sockets with multiple leads, solid core wire is easier to wire to the lug—no struggling with strands that won’t go into the hole. Solid core wire also keeps its shape when routed around the chassis. This particular PVC coated wire is easy to strip, easy to solder, and easy to work with. Nice stuff!
