ALIGNMENT
The chassis is removed from the cabinet in order to align this receiver.

Connect the output meter across the voice coil, Conne of the signal.generator to the standard Hazeltine loop, Model 2160, and: couple loosely to the receiver loop. Set the receiver volume control to maximum. The tuning condenser plates should be fully meshed when the dial pointer is at the index mark at the low frequency end of the dial. The signal generator output should be sufficient to give a readable deflection on the output meter.

Set the signal generator to 455 kc. Adjust the i.f. trimmers, C20, C19, 018, and c17, for maximum output on the output meter. Set the signal generator and receiver to 1600 kc and adjust 0801llator trimmer cs (underneath the chassis) for maximum output. Set the signal generator and receiver to 1400 kc and adjust r.f. timer C2 for maximum output.
