TO SET THE PUSH BUTTONS
Automatic push button tuning is provided for selection of
five favorite local stations. The five push buttons maybe
adjusted to any of the desired stations. In order to simplify
the identification Of these stations, it is advisable to Set the
push buttons in sequence according to their frequeneies, be-
ginning with the station broadcasting on the lowest frequenoy
and progressing to the station broadcasting onthe highest
frequency. The push buttons should be set up during the
daytime because at night, distant stations will be heard
with the same intensity as local stations, making it difficult
to select local stations. To set the push buttons proceed
1. Collapse the antenna.
2. Turn the receiver on and allow it to operate for at least
fifteenminutes in order for each part to reaoh normal oper-

(with your fingers) counterclockwise one turn.
4. Select the station desired and with low volume tune it in

Follow the above procedure for setting each of the other four
when the five push buttons have been set to the desired
stations, return the antenna to the lowest position necessary
for good reoeption. It is only necessary to press a push I
button to 1'eCeiVe the station for which the adjustment was
made. The dial pointer will automatically indicate the ?re~
quency of the selected station.

Connect the receiver "A" lead and receiver chassis to a
6 volt storage battery. Rotate volume and tone controls to
maximum clockwise position. Connect an output meter
jacross the speaker voice coil. Use an insulated screw-
driver ior making all adjustments. For greatest accuracy,
keep output of receiver at approximately 1 watt (l watt =
cutcl-leon, dial scale, and top & bottom covers to expose all
alignment adjustments. See Figure 1.
