I made an audio attenuator box which is used during the I.F. alignment of antique AM tube radios called All American 5 and All American 6s So as to not have to listen the the audio alignment tone typically 1000hz during the alignment procedure you connect the output audio stage of the radio to my box, chose the appropriate attenuation matching resistor then connect your analog VOM or VTVM to the terminals and proceed with tweaking the I.F. transformers for maximum readings. Attached is a picture of the box using mostly materials obtained from AES.

National 183D
Picked up a National 183D recently. Fairly nice shape. I originally bought it for the look but the more I read about it the more I want to get it working. So hence why I am here. Starting off it seems the transformer had a dead section. Heater on the 5U4 rectifier doesn't get voltage needed.

Mod Kits Parts for adding an LED and DC Jack
Here are all of the parts needed to add an LED and DC jack MOD Kit. Make sure you have a drill and some extra wire! Be sure to measure your holes before drilling. Depending on what pedal you are modding, you may need to place the LED or DC jack in different positions. The LED and DC jack can also be installed independently if you only want one or the other.

Black Face" Barn Find"
Well, it wasn't really a barn but it damn sure was a '64 Champ with a console stereo speaker, a smoked RCA 12ax7, a cheap power chord with the "clip-on" plug, rusted chrome straps, handle brackets, etc...and, covered in dirt/mud, bug/rodent feces. Took her home, sprayed it down with the hose (not really), changed the cord, bought a Warehouse G8C. Now, for hardware and caps. Hopefully, the pots, jack, probably need a light bulb (LED), will pass muster. Wish me luck

Parts for repair/maintenance of the pres and amps pulled from a Wollensak/3M T-9181. The original specs aren't able to be found. Original fuse is 1.6 amp slow blo, updated to 2a 25v fast blo at the advice of a technician. 6c4 is the bias oscillator for the tape heads. While the tape portion is not part of my build I'm salvaging the pre's and amps and also attempting to "sidechain" the playback head to an input. (not sure how that will workout)

A parts list for building the Federal AM864 Compressor according to the notes found on http://www.preservationsound.com/2014/02/federal-am-864-limiter-clone-build-notes/ The AM864 is a varimu compressor. Sowter makes the input and output transformers which can be found on their website. Sowter also makes an exact power transformer though the notes author used an Edcor with success. In the parts list I've included a solid state rectifier as it may be important if going to the AM864 in a 2-bus/mastering application.
