Alignment Attenuator Box
by wd9abg

I made an audio attenuator box which is used during the I.F. alignment of antique AM tube radios called All American 5 and All American 6s

So as to not have to listen the the audio alignment tone typically 1000hz during the alignment procedure you connect the output audio stage of the radio to my box, chose the appropriate attenuation matching resistor then connect your analog VOM or VTVM to the terminals and proceed with tweaking the I.F. transformers for maximum readings.

Attached is a picture of the box using mostly materials obtained from AES. This attenuator box is a very useful item on the test bench.
